Position Purpose

Manage Zetron’s ACOM product portfolio throughout the entire life cycle. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Product

    • Market Intelligence for outside in approach to product direction and priorities.
    • Establish the product vision, business goals, product roadmap and rollout plans
    • Gather & document the real business requirements from multiple sources
    • Manage trade-offs between cost, schedule, and business benefit, and ensure successful delivery of feature sets that meet both internal and external customer needs.
    • Collaborate with designers, and developers in agile development environment to identify feature details communication of business requirements & user stories for implementation.
    • Monitor and track product feedback to help in the prioritization of development projects.
    • Act as product champion and build effective relationships with key stakeholders
    • Liaise between all business owners utilizing products to ensure clear communication and understanding of product offerings and upcoming changes
    • Monitor progress of engineering development programs and create market launch plans accordingly
    • Visit and/or host customers to determine evolving marketplace needs
    • Find appropriate supply partners and maintain a working relationship.


    • Analyze competitive pricing levels and price product portfolio accordingly
    • Monitor revenue and profit levels for products within the portfolio.


    • Provide authoritative input to marketing collateral and promotional materials
    • Create sales tools for new products/features including system design guides, ordering guides, customer presentations, demonstration scripts, specification sheets, brochures, and sales battle cards
    • Communicate program status throughout company and sales channels
    • Coordinate activities across multiple departments/disciplines to resolve customer issues
    • Support trade shows by performing training and customer demonstrations.


    • Support sales territory managers and reseller channels with technical knowledge of product and implementation requirements.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Other duties as assigned by the Company.
  • 25% travel.


  • Experience in electronics & communications systems (Wired/Wireless)
  • Working knowledge of two way radio, IT networks and the telephony industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of cradle to grave product life cycle management procedures.
  • Strong working knowledge of business-to-business product marketing.
  • Ability to understand & translate industry standards (P25, DMR, TETRA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the operations of software development in manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to work with external and internal customers.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple people to accomplish joint goals and drive programs to successful conclusions.
  • Ability to relate to, influence and coach all team members, and to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to convey information clearly and accurately.
  • Ability to clearly write various documents such as product requirements, statements of work, marketing plans and product literature.
  • Excellent research and organizational skill.
  • Ability to prepare material and effectively present it in front of small and large audiences.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple people to accomplish joint goals and drive programs to successful conclusions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio.

Experience and Education

  • Four (4) year degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing or Business, or equivalent; MBA desired.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of product management experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ Years in communications related industry
  • Or any combination of education and experience that provides same expertise.
